The club was formed in 1977, as Aripile Victoria Bacău, changing the name in Aerostar from 1992. In the period when it was named Aripile Bacău, the best performance of the club was 8th place in Divizia B, Serie I (second league), in season 1989-1990.

With the change of the name also it came a difficult period for the club from Bacău, who had to play in fourth league. Returning in Divizia C (third league) took place in season 1999-2000, when the team has ranked on 3rd place.
