Team of the matchday - Round 7 (1-4-4-2):
Coman (FC Argeș) - Ogăraru (Steaua București), Lovin (Steaua București),
McKain (FC Național București), Ad.Iordache (Dinamo București) - Nicoliță
(Poli Timișoara), Ghindaru (FCM Brașov), Caramarin (FC Național București),
Coroian (Gloria Bistrița) - Gh.Bucur (Sportul Studențesc), Guaye (Poli
Timișoara)
Vasile Ghindaru (FC Brașov): The midfielder of FC Brașov
had a good day, succeeding a spectacular hattrick. In Romania Ghindaru
is known as the big unlucky, having two years ago a negative record (three
years when he didn't score any goal, being striker). He was compared with
Slovenian Rudonja, but he scored his first goal at national team even
against Romania and so we didn't go to Asia, at World Cup. With his excellent
form, Brașov has obtained the first victory in Divizia A, season 2004-2004,
and we will see if this hattrick was just an "accident".
Bănel Nicoliță (FCU Politehnica Timișoara): He was one
of the best players from the field in the match with Rapid. He ran a lot,
crossed for his mates and in second part of the match he succeeded a sensational
shot from 40 metres, which passed at a few cm over the post of Dolha,
missing the goal of the year. "Jardel" (his nickname from the
famous Brazilian striker) has overpass very hard till he got to Divizia
A, he deriving from a very poor family of gipsys. He was selected at olympic
national team and after he played at Făurei and Dacia Unirea Braila, the
fact that he signed with Fotbal Club Universitatea Politehnica Timișoara
(the new name of Politehnica AEK Timișoara) could make his dream to become
real, to play at one of the three big teams from Turkey, Fenerbahçe, Beșiktaș
or Galatasaray.
Mansour Gueye (FCU Politehnica Timișoara): The striker
from Senegal was the man of the match in the game with Rapid. He scored
a spectacular goal and had many actions in front of players from București,
applauded by the supporters. He scored now his third goal in Divizia A,
showing that he is the man who needed coach Gheorghe Mulțescu, that Poli
to save from relegation. He played last season at Servette Geneva II (youth
team) where he scored 24 goals.
Gheorghe Bucur (Sportul Studențesc București): The striker
of Sportul succeeded a new double in this season, and with 7 goals in
7 rounds he is the leader of topscorers of Divizia A. At Iași, in front
of 7.000 of viewers, Bucur scored two goals, being applauded by the people
from Iași, spectators who also made that coach Vasile Simionaș to be sacked.
Bucur is insistent wanted by Steaua, but owner Gigi Becali can get him
as free player from June 2005, when the contract with Sportul will expire.
Vasile Șiman, the owner of Sportul, can't pay to Bucur the salary he wants
(around of 50.000 Euro per season) and it's very possible that Bucur to
leave the team next summer. A contract with Steaua would be the great
chance for the striker of Sportul, who missed three seasons ago a contract
with AS Monaco, after he was injuried in a friendly match with FC UTA
Arad, and missed half of season.
