History:

Founded by merging of 2 local, rival teams, "Craiovan" and "Rovine Grivița".

It played in "War Championship" and won the title of 1942-1943. (The so-called "War Championship", between 1942-45, included most of previous clubs of national League, but it was not officially confirmed, due to WWII circumstances.)

In season of 1947-1948, "FC Craiova" failed in Divizia B and C, and in the return of season 1948-1949, the team dissolved itself, after a merge with "AS Doljul" Craiova.
