Sportul played as usual, offensive, having in first half 6 opportunities to score, while Timișoara had just one. Ionuț Mazilu sent the ball over the post in 5 minute, Tibi Bălan's header hit the bar (25), and Dacian Varga shot (42) almost touched the bar. FC Vaslui has succeeded two premieres on Wednesday: left the last place and obtained the biggest victory from Divizia A. The success was clear even from third minute, when Adrian Mihalcea obtained a penalty kick, transformed by Bogdan Panait. Because it was rainning, the field became full of mud, and the play became heavier, but Vaslui accommodated better. Sfârlea realized that shots from long distance are the best tactics on this kind of pitch, so he shot twice, but keeper Guso rejected in 26 and 29 minutes. After the break, defender Panait scored from 6 metres, after a corner of Sfârlea. 9 minutes later Vaslui received penalty kick again, because Rohat touched the ball with the hand in penalty area, he receiving red card. After the third goal the hosts didn't force anymore.

Came at Constanța to win, coach Cristian Popovici started the match super offensive, with 4-3-3. This was a premiere for Bacău, team which was used to play with just one striker. The idea of Bacău's coach was good, because in first half his team played good enough. Even Farul started the match with three strikers too, the keepers of the two teams were out of work in first half. After the break Farul was more decided, missing an opportunity in 49 minute, when Liviu Mihai sent the ball near the post from 6 metres. Vukotić was inspired and sent in the field Bogdan Apostu, player brought ar Farul in summer. When Steaua was attacking, the players who should score, have made a lot of mistakes: Nicoliță shot twice out (26, 36) and Dică and Cristea were non-existent. The match which wanted to be decisive in the fight for the title has transformed into a disaster for Dinamo from all points of view. Dinamo was defeated by a very good team which has played exactly as did in Europe. Except a few dribblings of Ianis Zicu and a shot from free kick of Claudiu Niculescu, Dinamo has showed nothing. In 28 minute, after a free kick, keeper of Dinamo couldn't hold the ball and Viorel Moldovan, who was at the right place, scored with empty net. After the break, captain Florentin Petres was replaced, coach Florin Marin hoping that Cătălin Munteanu will succeed something. But in 57 minute Rapid scored again, the same Viorel Moldovan received a pass from Daniel Pancu at 18 metres and shot powerful. Dinamo still hoped that can do something, the passes were well, the dribblings the same, but when the players of Dinamo were in front of the post they were losing the ball or had no idea what to do with it. In 67 minute Lucian Burdujan remained alone with keeper Vladimir Gaev who had to foul him: penalty kick. Daniel Niculae scored the third goal which returned Rapid in the fight for the title.
