'Hapoel Tel-Aviv Football Club |
1919: founded as Alenbi,
1927 renamend to Hapoel Tel-Aviv. Till 1948, when Israel won the independence, Hapoel gathered three titles and five cups. Till present, Hapoel also won 10 championships and 6 cups, the last being obtained in the summer of this year. The supporters of the team are known for their fanaticism, being nicknamed "red devils", like the English from Manchester United. The most important players who put on the "red-white" t-shirt are Milan Osterc (Slovenia), John Pantsil (Ghana), but also Israelians Rifat Turk, Shimon Gershon, Shavit Elimelech and Walid Badir. At Hapoel also played three Romanians, Costel Lazăr, Ioan Constantin Marcu and Dănuț Moisescu. |
