* 2nd leg abandoned at 2-0 to FC Paris Saint-Germain in 87' due to fan /supporters reaction against their own team and the referees, making the referees and players go earlier to the locker rooms and leave the decision to UEFA Disciplinary Comitee to give an 3-0 withdraw victory for the Czech. |
The shame continues
Dinamo leave Europe in the knees, as it happened in the past 2 years, with Elfsborg and Nijmegen. In 84th minute, a supporter of the hosts entered on the field and took the corner flag, throwing it to the players of Dinamo. Three minutes later, about 50 fans broke the fence and invaded the running track around the pitch, leading Austrian referee Thomas Einwaller to whistle the final of the match. Expulsion from European competitions for up to three years could follow; even if this penalty is not applied, this season of Europa League is almost certainly over for "red dogs". When a team receives goal in 5th minute, at the first dangerous action of opponents, the whole strategy prepared by a week is gone. The defence of Dinamo erred in 5th minute, when Liska, unmarked, headed from 8 meters without chance for Dolha, after a cross came from right side from Dockal. Being in state of shock, Dinamo needed 20 minutes to create the first dangerous action, but the effect didn't come from any construction, but from the ankle of Adrian Cristea. The midfielder left a few opponents on the road, but he was stopped by fault in the last moment. Gradually, the hosts started to control the game, but Slovan, an worker and ordered team, knew to block all Dinamo's attacks. But the hosts attacked chaotic, so they rarely had the chance to score. A dangerous shot of Adrian Cristea and some shots over or behind the post of Torje were the single achievements until the break. But after the break the things have changed. Dinamo began to build the attack, and with the entry of Andrei Cristea and later of Zicu, the team acquired imagination and clarity in attack. The rain of opportunities that followed was opened by N'Doye, who had the chance to score in 51st minute, but he was blocked in last moment by Hauzr, in the box. Although the hosts continued to attack and to dominate the second half, those who scored were the guests, again. In 84th minute, Blazek managed to dribbled Tamas in the box, he tricked Dolha and shot from 7 meters: 0-2. Three minutes later, the referees and players were running to the locker rooms...
Dario Bonetti, coach of Dinamo: "I used the proper team for this match. If they let us to play, anything can happen in second leg. In the first half we were very nervous, but in the second one we behaved better and we have created some good opportunities. The problem is that at this level the players don't allow to make such errors and I refer here at the second goal. I'm sorry, this should be a beautiful evening. Slovan weren't better than us. I knew it will be difficult, but we made to our opponents two gifts and in Europa League you can't do something like that. We had today eight clear opportunities to score, but our problem is that we can't fructify them. We shouldn't receive the second goal, because after 0-1 we still could qualify in second leg. Now, I have doubts that UEFA will let us to play the match from Liberec".
