With a starting eleven changed in last moment, Luching taking the place of Bonfim on right side, Timisoara started shy the match with the Finns from MyPa. But the bar of Goga, from 8th minute, was the signal that Romanian went to Finland to win. The first important goal opportunity for the hosts came in 22nd minute, when Saxman sent the ball beside the post with a few cm, after a period of domination of the team from Finland. Timisoara responded through Goga and Magera, his header from 8 meters went over the post in 25th minute. The same Magera had another good opportunity a few minutes later, but his header was rejected from the post line. Eventually, the opening of the score came from Iulian Tames (34). And in 74th minute Mircea Axente scored his first goal in Europa League, with a shot from the box, after an excellent pass from Tames. To the final of the match the visitors called a penalty kick for a foul of the keeper against Goga, but the referee let the game to continue.
